The Rugby World Cup 2015 Twickenham Stadium being in our patch we leapt at the chance of representing England in a national and international campaign promoting the World Cup. We sent off pictures, spoke a few lines, and a couple of weeks later David Seager was picked. Here's the home version of the video where David's bass gives his lines gravitas. There's also an international version where David is seen sitting decorously at a pub table.   A Clockwork Morris 5,000 Morris Dancers was an anarchic weekend event at The Southbank Centre, London from 3rd-5th Sept 2010 inspired by an off-hand remark by Seb Coe that the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics would be 5,000 Morris Dancers. At its heart is a large-scale installation of morris-inspired folk-pop art by David Owen enhanced by film, dance, music and mayhem. Videos of the Spring Grove Morris Men are rare. No film exists of the early years and only the easy-to-hand mobile telephone has provided any footage, all-be-it somewhat unplanned and raw.
Two videos are from the 2009 Spring Grove Morris biennial Midummer Morris, an invite to local sides to join us for an evening's dancing. Invited sides were: Ewell St Mary, Greensleves, Thames Valley, Yateley, and special guests Brian Tasker (Squire of the Morris Ring) of Hartley and Fred Hands (Ring Area Rep) of Wadard.
