Archive entry for 1982
A much better year with Spring Grove holding their first day of dance on June 27th. Thames Valley, Ellington and representatives of St Mary's, Datchett and Cup Hill attended. Although the weather was indifferent the event was a success and enjoyed by all. Spring Grove also attended Yateley and Datchett days of dance. The usual pub tours took place along with one or two fetes. One charity function of note was an evening of entertainment put on by a local church with some hand bell ringers. Doug Gray moved to Manchester early in 1982 and Alan Vaughan took over as temporary Squire though he was elected officially in November.
