Longborough Swaggering Boney This version is a simplified version of the version in the Black Book, which is again a simplified version of the notation recorded from Harry Taylor. The purpose was to create an amusing combat dance. Hands in the double step are small horizontal circles above the head with hankies passing from front to back over the head. Hands in the feet together jump are up the front on the body, up to full stretch and out into the show. Foot up and half-rounds: 2 x double-step on the outside foot, galley out and feet together jump to face down 2 x double-step on the outside foot, galley out and feet together jump to face across Whole Hey: 1 x double-step on the leading foot, feet together jump into new places Galley out and feet together jump face across 1 x double-step on the leading foot, feet together jump into new places 4 x caper on the outside foot Corner movement: 4 x closed sidestep right, 2 x left, feet together jump in to meet corner Either throw a punch (1st & 4th) or a kick(2nd & 3rd) and 4 x capers to pass by right shoulder to opposites place Finish face out then turn to face partner (In with a jump) Foot up and down corners cross with punches Jump into half-rounds corners cross with kicks Jump into half-rounds corners cross with kicks Jump into half-rounds corners cross with punches Whole Hey and caper up |
